Helping our international students- University of Nyíregyháza

The International Relations Group of the Student Service Center conducts the all-round preparation of students for participating in mobility programmes as well as the administration of the issues of the international students.

Since 2017, the new Erasmus+ website and the online application platform have facilitated a better and faster information sharing and administration; the website was upgraded with new functions in 2018 and the official Facebook page of the International Relations Group was launched.

The staff of the International Relations Group have organised lectures about the possibilities and conditions of mobilities for the interested students and university staff in order to increase the quantity and quality of international mobilities.

In 2018, the monthly event called Mobility Café continued with the aim of promoting Erasmus+ and Campus Mundi programmes for the target group. Furthermore, the staff of the International Relations Group offer personal counselling and support to outgoing and incoming students and staff.

The interests of the international students are represented by the Student Union of the University of Nyíregyháza. Every student is a member of the Student Union; they are all electors and can be elected. International students can contact the Student Union with their problems and suggestions.

The Student Hall of Residence Group and the University Hall of Residence Board are entitled to deal with the hall of residence issues of the international students as well as represent their hall of residence interests, along with the International Relations Group.

The colleagues of the International Relations Group help the incoming international students in every upcoming question or problem in the main building „A”, in office 27, on weekdays from 8 am – 16 pm.

Alumni Hungary community!

As an international alumnus/alumna of Hungary, we are inviting you to join the Alumni Hungary Network community, through our newly launched official website:

http://alumninetworkhungary.hu/

The first international Alumni Hungary Network, coordinated by the Tempus Public Foundation, is aimed at establishing and enhancing an interactive, highly engaged and vibrant alumni community of former full-time and part-time foreign students, who have attended or graduated from any higher education institutions in Hungary. We would like you to maintain your positive impressions about the country and to give you further opportunities with the aim to benefit from your Hungarian experiences and connections. After an official registration under the Sign up menu of the website, the following services will be available for you:

  • Our interactive map linked to a detailed search system gives you the opportunity to find your former alumni fellows and future partners wherever they are right now. You can initiate search based on different data such as: name; gender; country of origin; residence country; residence city; studies in Hungary (institution, scholarship scheme, date) etc.
  • You can create alumni events to meet your former fellows or former students from other Hungarian universities with the aim to collaborate, share memories and knowledge, or just simply to have a nostalgic good time
  • You are able to establish groups to create space for deeper discussions and debates in a wide range of topics, no matter if professional or informal. One group can have several topics at the same time, with different forums, so it is really easy to keep track on your topics

You can reach all these services and opportunities for free without any membership fees, you just have to register on the website: http://alumninetworkhungary.hu/user/register
